It really pains me greatly that I cannot name all the people in photo from the 1950s, sent to me by John Cline from Australia.
Standing from right is Mr Henry Rodrigues and Mr Charlie Gardner and (sitting from left) is Mr AT Flynn (later Principal of Boys High School, Allahabad), Mr Hugh Dignum and Mr Frank D'Souza.

The cops are totally demoralised
A poster of the Bharatiya Janta Party covers the traffic lights at the present Changamal corner, earlier Benbows, Hazratganj, Lucknow. This is the busiest point where five roads meet. These lights are for traffic coming from the Governor's House side on Mahatma Gandhi Marg and so cannot be seen though visible in the photograph. I pointed this out to the policeman controlling the traffic and he just shook his head in agreement. The poster even has former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's pic. In the top pic one can see the steeple of Christ Church in the distance.
Feb 25: Interestingly, today I found that the banner had been removed. I'll never know whether my interference in the matter put things right or it was just a coincidence.

Bollywood film
Vijay Raaz who is acting in the yet untitled film being shot at the Mart by Roshan Abbas an old boy. He has become quite a successful TV host and I guess also a director(?). The picture was taken by Atul Hundoo of inext, a publication of Dinik Jagran. inext is a tabloid size newspaper that is published in nine cities of four states.
